What is PyxMagic and how does it work?
PyxMagic is an AI-powered web platform designed for retailers and manufacturers to create professional-quality product silhouette photography conveniently in their stores or showrooms. Simply upload product photos to your PyxMagic account using the PyxMagic companion iPhone app or from your camera. PyxMagic removes cluttered backgrounds to help create a perfect mask, applies custom shadows, and performs post-processing to produce consistent, high-quality product photography without the need for studios or professional setups. Additionally, PyxMagic includes tools tailored for a wide variety of product categories, including Home Furnishings & Accessories, Gifts, Tabletop & Kitchen, and many more.
What are the hardware requirements for PyxMagic?
You can use any image that you take from your phone or camera to create a PyxMagic photo. If you want to use our companion PyxMagic iOS app, you will need an iPhone 11 or higher.
What types of image files can I use for PyxMagic?
Any resolution or industry standard image file format will work. Examples: JPEG, PNG, TIFF, HEIF/HEIC, WEBP, etc.
Who owns images processed by PyxMagic?
You have full ownership of images that you produce using PyxMagic, while Pyxd, Inc. reserves the right to use your data and images in an anonymized way for the sole purpose of improving the PyxMagic service.
What are Simple Backgrounds?
Your content goes here. Edit or remove this text inline or in the module Content settings. You can also style every aspect of this content in the module Design settings and even apply custom CSS to this text in the module Advanced settings.
How much does PyxMagic cost?
PyxMagic is $199/month if billed annually and $249/month if billed monthly.
Can I add users to my PyxMagic account?
Yes! Additional users can be added to your account for $49/month. Simply go to your web account page to add additional users. You will be able to set roles and permissions that ensure you have admin control over your account.
How long are your contracts?
We offer two types of contracts, month to month or a yearly subscription, which includes a 20% discount.
Do you offer discounts?
If you sign up for a yearly contract, you can save 20% off of the monthly subscription fee.
Can I cancel at any time?
You can cancel at any time. If you’re on an annual plan, you will still have access to your account for the remaining term of your annual agreement. If you are on a monthly plan, you will have access to your account for the remainder of the monthly term. We do not prorate or refund partial month or year subscriptions.
How do I cancel?
To cancel, tap on Chat in the PyxMagic Hub to speak with a live agent, who can cancel your subscription anytime.
Can I change my plan later on?
Yes, tap Chat in the PyxMagic Hub to speak with a live agent, who can help you change your subscription plan (we currently only have one paid subscription plan).
Can I change my payment method?
Yes, you can change your credit card by going to the PyxMagic account page, or by using Chat in the PyxMagic Hub to get help in doing so.
This will be a business expense…can you invoice me instead of using a credit card?
We are currently only set up for credit card transactions, although invoices are automatically generated and can be accessed anytime.
What do I get with a free trial of PyxMagic?
The free trial for PyxMagic lasts 7 days and gives you full access to the PyxMagic hub and our companion iOS app. You can process as many captures as you’d like during the trial period and have access to 2 creative credits if you need to refine your images. All the imagery you produce belongs to you!
What happens when my free trial ends?
Your free trial account will automatically roll over to a paid monthly subscription after your free trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the free trial, and you will not be charged. If you’d like to roll over to an annual subscription, you can tap Chat in the PyxMagic Hub, and a live agent will help with this roll over.
Why do I need to provide my credit card information?
We capture your credit card information when you sign up for a free trial to combat fraudulent signups. We will not charge your credit card until your trial is over – you can cancel at any time during the trial and will not be charged.
What are Creative Services?
We want you to be 100% happy with the images that you receive from PyxMagic. We offer creative services with your subscription that allow you to reach out to our creative team to help with any tricky masking issues that you are having difficulty finalizing.
You can request additional assistance any time by hitting the Creative Services button in the PyxMagic hub. The Creative Services team can assist with: Masking refinement requests, removing labels, specific color correction or retouching. Most requests are expected to be completed within 24 hours.
What is CDN Image Hosting and is there an additional fee?
CDN image hosting service is a free service included in the base subscription. This service automatically generates a URL for each image file, and this can be easily embedded into your website. CDN image hosting uses Pyxd server and CDN resources to host images directly into your website with very low latency, enabling you to display higher resolution images without worrying about your page loading or performance. Pyxd incurs back-end hosting fees, but includes this service as part of your paid subscription. You can generate and embed as many such URLs as needed.
Can I use PyxMagic without CDN Image hosting?
Yes, hosted URLs are an option but not necessary. You can simply download your images instead.
